Ryan and I decided this would be a fun and easy way to share our pregnancy with friends and family...thanks for joining us for the ride!
It is finally becoming real- I can't close the button on ANY of my pants. Although I have purchased some maternity gear, I have not brought myself to wear any of it. Right now I'm rocking the "belly band." It is a black, spandex tube that helps to ensure my unbuttoned pants don't fall down. It does a decent job, for now :)
I had a visit with my OB last Friday, heard a strong heart beat at 150 bpm (beats per minute). Old wives tale says that would be a girl, but Ryan is convinced it is a boy (FYI, we are not going to find out the sex until the delivery!) The rest of the visit was going very well until my OB announced that she, too, is pregnant and due 4 weeks before me! Pretty sure she'll be taking more than 4 weeks of maternity leave= we have to find a new OB! Luckily, there is another OB in her practice that I have worked with and really like so I will switch to her, but I'm still bummed.
I am 14 weeks exactly today, our due date is March 11th 2014. I anticipate I will post something on the blog every 1-2 weeks. I will try to include pictures when we have them. Thanks again for following the blog, we appreciate all your love and support. We love you!
