22 Weeks
Can you believe those pictures?! I had no idea the images could be that clear. I have heard from several people that "it looks just like you!" or "it looks just like your dad!" Haha. Sex unrevealed at this time! It was so fun to be able to see our baby together- Ryan was able to move around some surgeries so he could make it to the ultrasound. The doctor gave us these great pics and said, "well, I have to give you the 'old fashioned' picture in 2D too."
I am feeling lots of movement now...mostly after breakfast and around dinner time- maybe because that's when I am relaxed and not focused on work so I feel the movement more. I would describe it as little summersaults and rollercoaster-feelings without the sick-to-your-stomach part. Ryan has been able to feel it once, it was pretty great. Overall, I am still feeling good, no weird pains or discomforts. It is getting harder to do certain yoga poses but that's about it. I feel very lucky and I can only hope it continues to be this smooth.
Two weekends ago I traveled to New Mexico for a reunion with my girls from med school. We had a blast catching up with one another, drinking wine (aka me watching the 5 other ladies drink wine) and hiking in the mountains of Taos. On the first morning of our weekend together the girls surprised me with a shower! We got some fabulous stuff for the baby including a baby bjorn, a beautiful teal woven blanket, toys, books, onsies and one of my favorites: breast milk alcohol test strips (can you tell that us girls love our wine?). It was a wonderful time and I can't wait until we can reunite again and they can meet baby Groeschl. Until next time, peace and love!
