I am growing by the day! Physically I am feeling great- got a little bit of energy back but I am still barely making it past 9pm most nights. No food aversions or food cravings- other than cheese and carbs (oh wait, those aren't cravings, those are just foods I love and now have an excuse to eat more of!).
September was a very busy month on the adult medicine service and my month ended with about 60 hours of work between Friday morning and Monday morning...also delivered one of my OB patients during that time! I was so busy that there were many stretches of time in September that I forgot I was pregnant! Ryan reminds me every night though, by hugging my belly and offering to rub my feet. I think I'll keep him around.
This month will be very exciting as the two sets of (future) grandparents, Ryan and I plan to venture to Appleton to do some serious crib/changing table shopping. The color theme of the nursery will be teal, orange and grey. We found an awesome armoire on craigslist for $60- we are going to paint it either dark teal or light orange as an accent piece of furniture for the nursery. I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
I'll quote our friend Erin Flugstad who said, "registering is harder than the actual labor." I must say, it was quite the experience for Ryan and I to first enter BabiesRUs. Overwhelming is an understatement. Who knew how much stuff you could possibly need/want for a baby?! I think I had an idea what it would be like, but I can tell you who didn't...Ryan. The look on his face when we walked through the doors was priceless. We only got about half way through the store, I'm sure there will be a few more stops before the registry is complete.
Our anatomy ultrasound will be coming up in about 3 weeks- hopefully we'll have some great pics to share. I also want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to those of you who sent cards and gifts already- our friends and family are beyond generous. This baby has no idea how much it is loved! Until next time, thanks for following! xoxo
