Whew, it has been too long! Sorry folks! Things are going well- really no complaints or too much excitement which is a good thing. I have been feeling the little one squirm around more and more- it is a very reassuring feeling. He or she does an extra little dance if I drink juice or if I go to Target...I know it sounds crazy but the baby becomes very active when I walk into a Target store (maybe it knows how much I love Tar-zhay boutique).
Not really having any cravings but I seem to prefer sweet things to salty things- a few have said that means there's a girl on the way (people also said it was definitely a boy because I didn't have any nausea). I have not really experienced any heartburn but I do get full very fast and feel like I may explode the first 5-10 minutes after most meals. I'm still going to yoga 1-2 times per week but doing simple poses is becoming very difficult...we'll see how long I can keep it up!
Now that the bump is in full force, there is a running commentary with friends, family and coworkers. I'll share with you some of my favorites and least liked. Favorites: "it's just stupid how cute you look." -Jac, "did you just hit me with your belly?!" -Mom. "Looks like you've been busy!" -a patient of mine. Not-so-favorite,"Groeschl, you look huge... I mean you look symmetric" -a male coworker (my response- "oh, so I look huge all over?"), "hey Dr. Mom," -nurse at our clinic (I will allow this until the baby is born, if it continues I may have to say something.)
We finished the armoire and painted the walls a very light gray. We are waiting on the furniture that seems to be on back order until January (fine unless January turns into March). My mom's friend Patti is making curtains from scratch in fun patterns...looking forward to having everything ready for baby! I will try not to let 4 weeks go by without another post. Until then, xoxo.
